vintage Superman metal Lunchbox ADCO 1954 w/ original Universal Vacuum thermos

Description

Offered here is a vintage Superman metal lunchbox manufactured by ADCO Liberty Mfg Corp of Newark New Jersey in 1954.  It comes with its original Universal Vacuum thermos.  This lunchbox has major wear.  The front panel depicting Superman vs Robot has rusting and is visibly faded and the rear of the box depicting Superman World's Greatest Adventure Character is rusted and dented.  The box has rusting on the side panels and the handle is missing.  The inside of the box and underside of the cover are dirty/stained but are otherwise in fairly decent condition with no rusting. The thermos is the original Universal Vacuum bottle that came with this lunchbox.  It has its screw-on cap and is in fairly good shape. Please view all the photos for a more detailed description.
This lunchbox is highly collectible and is a must for any lunchbox/Superman collector.  It is definitely in rough condition but is priced accordingly.  For someone who doesn't want to pay a fortune now for a box in nice condition, this is an opportunity to acquire an always in demand lunchbox at an affordable price.
